Terms of use & disclaimer
Last updated 26 September 2026
taxHub (taxhub.lk and its web app) is owned and operated by Sen & Co BV (Aalst, Belgium, VAT BE 1030.437.928), referred to below as “we” or “us”. By using taxHub you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
1. Information only, not legally binding
taxHub presents publicly available Sri Lanka Customs information (the National Imports Tariff Guide, the weekly Rates of Exchange notifications and related material) in a searchable, convenient form, together with calculators and estimates built on that information. Its purpose is to help you understand tariffs, rates and their changes.
Nothing on taxHub is an official publication, a customs ruling, a binding tariff classification, a valuation decision, or legal, tax, customs or financial advice. The figures shown, including duty and levy calculations, vehicle estimates, landed-cost estimates and exchange rates, are indicative only and may differ from the amounts Sri Lanka Customs or any other authority actually assesses.
Only the official publications of Sri Lanka Customs, the Government Gazette and the applicable laws and regulations are authoritative. Where anything on taxHub differs from them, the official source prevails.
2. Your responsibility to verify
You are solely responsible for verifying every figure, classification, rate and requirement with the official source (for example customs.gov.lk, the Government Gazette, or a licensed customs house agent or professional adviser) before you rely on it, and for deciding how it applies to your goods and circumstances. This includes, among other things, HS classification, customs value, origin and free-trade-agreement eligibility, exemptions, licences and the exchange rate valid on the relevant date.
3. Source data and how we process it
We do not own the tariff data, exchange rates or other official information shown. All rights in that information remain with its respective owners. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of Sri Lanka Customs or the Government of Sri Lanka.
The information is collected and processed by us, partly by automated means. For example, the weekly customs exchange rates are retrieved automatically from the official Sri Lanka Customs website and read from scanned documents with automated character recognition, then checked by automated validation rules before publication. Official documents may be published late, corrected or withdrawn, and automated collection, reading, transcription, classification, calculation or display may introduce errors or omissions. Information may therefore be incomplete, out of date or incorrect at any time, including between an official change and its appearance on taxHub.
4. No liability
taxHub is provided “as is” and “as available”, free of charge and without any warranty, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, timeliness, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sen & Co BV, its directors, employees and contractors are not liable for any loss or damage of any kind, whether direct or indirect, arising from or in connection with the use of, or reliance on, taxHub or any information on it. This includes, without limitation:
- errors, omissions or delays in any figure, rate, classification, text or calculation;
- any mistake of interpretation, whether it arises in the information we publish, in how the website or web app presents or calculates it, or in how you or anyone else reads or applies it;
- duties, taxes, levies, penalties, surcharges, fines, interest, delays, seizures or additional costs assessed by any authority;
- lost profits, revenue, business, contracts, opportunities, goodwill or data;
- any decision taken, or not taken, on the basis of taxHub;
- unavailability, interruption or technical faults of the service.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory applicable law, such as liability for intentional misconduct or fraud. Where a limitation is not permitted in full, it applies to the fullest extent the law allows.
5. Acceptable use
You may use taxHub for your own lawful personal and business purposes. You must not disrupt or overload the service, attempt to bypass sign-in or access controls, or copy the site's content or datasets in bulk (for example by automated scraping) to republish or build a competing service. We may suspend or end access to anyone who breaks these terms.
6. Intellectual property
The taxHub name, logo, design, software, compilations and original content are owned by Sen & Co BV. All rights reserved. Official government information remains subject to the rights of its owners, as set out in section 3.
7. Accounts and privacy
Some features require signing in with a Google account. You are responsible for activity under your account. How we handle personal data is described in our privacy & cookies policy.
8. Changes to the service and these terms
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of taxHub at any time without notice. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continued use means you accept it.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts for the registered office of Sen & Co BV, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules that give you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
10. Contact
